Synopsis in German
1488: Der skrupellose Cesare Borgia will seine Herrschaft in Norditalien ausdehnen. Er beauftragt seinen Vasallen das Schloss des Grafen Fabio di Fabi mit List einzunehmen, um von dort das Land der Herzogin Katharina Sforza zu erobern.
Sie schickt deshalb ihren Neffen Marco, um Borgias Pläne zu vereiteln. Mit einem Haufen von Räubern und Taschendieben zieht Marco auf der Burg der Fabis ein. Doch er kann den hinterhältigen Mord an Fabio nicht verhindern. Auch als Zanco danach Fabios Schwester Isabella, in die sich Marco verliebt hat, heiraten will, scheinen ihm im wahrsten Sinne die Hände gebunden. (mdr Presse)
