Synopsis in German
1939: Als Joseph Goebbels den österreichischen Schauspieler Ferdinand Marian im Theater erlebt, beordert er diesen sofort als Hauptdarsteller für den anstehenden antisemitischen Film Jud Süss. Durch den stetigen Druck von Seiten der Nationalsozialisten auf Marian, nimmt er die Rolle nach langem Zögern an und wird schlagartig berühmt. Doch schnell kommt die negative Wendung: er erfährt von den verheerenden Folgen des Films und verliert einen Freund, der durch die Nazis aufgespürt wurde. (Dresdner Kulturmagazin)
