Synopsis in German
Frédérique, eine reiche und selbstsichere Frau, lernt in Paris ein junges Mädchen beim Pflastermalen kennen. Fasziniert von ihr, lädt sie Why in ihre Wohnung ein und verführt sie. Die beiden vollkommen verschiedenen Frauen bleiben zusammen und fahren auf Frédériques Landsitz nach St. Tropez. Auf einer Abendgesellschaft der beiden verliebt sich der junge Architekt Paul in Why und weckt damit Frédériques Eifersucht. Die Erfolg gewohnte Frau trachtet nun danach, Paul für sich zu gewinnen, was ihr auch gelingt. Doch das begonnene Leben zu dritt schafft unlösbare Konflikte und führt schließlich zur Katastrophe...
