Reviews in German: Der als Aussätziger gefangene Architekt Rowland kann mit seiner Verlobten (May) aus dem Schloss entfliehen und wird von Fürst Ayan verfolgt. Der Zweiteiler entstand nach einem Roman von Thea von Harbou, die mit Fritz Lang auch das Drehbuch schrieb. Der Stoff wurde noch zweimal als Zweiteiler verfilmt: 1938 von Richard Eichberg (s. 20.11.), z.T. in den Dekorationsresten in Woltersdorf, 1958/59 als bunte Euro-Version vom ursprünglichen Co-Autor Fritz Lang (s. 21.11.).
