Synopsis in German
In dieser Aschenbrödel-Variante mit Asta Nielsen in der Hauptrolle wird eine junge Frau von ihren Pflegeeltern schlecht behandelt, doch ab und zu von einer vornehmen Dame abgeholt und liebevoll betreut. Diese gibt sich schliesslich als leibliche Mutter zu erkennen; ihr strenger Gatte, mit dem sie zwei weitere Kinder hat, darf aber nichts von dem unehelichen Spross erfahren. Als sie ihm Geld stiehlt, mit dem sie Aschenbrödel unterstützen will, verstösst er sie. Sie will sich nun alleine mit ihrer Tochter durchschlagen. Doch die anderen beiden Mädchen setzen sich beim Vater für sie ein, und am Ende sind alle im gemeinsamen Familienglück vereint. (www.filmportal.de)
