Synopsis in German
Als attraktiver Literaturprofessor genießt Marc den Ruf eines Frauenhelden. Nur allzu gerne bringt er seine Studentinnen zum "privaten Nachhilfeunterricht" in sein abgelegenes Chalet in den Bergen, wo er seit Kindertagen mit seiner exzentrischen Schwester Marianne zusammenlebt. Doch als seine letzte Eroberung, die begabte Studentin Barbara, spurlos verschwindet, gerät das Leben des Schürzenjägers aus den Fugen. Schon bald setzen ihn ein junger Polizist, der den Fall untersucht, und die Universitätsleitung unter Druck, und Marc sieht sich bohrenden Fragen ausgesetzt. Kurz darauf taucht auch noch Barbaras attraktive Stiefmutter Anna auf, die an Marcs Unschuld zu zweifeln scheint und schnell zu seiner Affäre wird. Und dann ist da noch Annie, die ebenfalls in den Genuss der Nachhilfestunden kommen will. Der Frauenheld verliert allmählich die Kontrolle über die Situation und hat zunehmend Mühe, Realität und Fantasie auseinanderzuhalten. „Liebe ist das perfekte Verbrechen” ist eine Verfilmung des Romans „Die Rastlosen” von Philippe Djian. Für ihren Film „Malen oder Lieben” wurden sie 2005 für die Goldene Palme nominiert. In „Liebe ist das perfekte Verbrechen” macht Kameramann Guillaume Deffontaines aus der Eis- und Schneelandschaft der Schweizer Alpen eine eigene „Figur“. Ein kleiner Geniestreich ist es, die Universität, an der Marc lehrt, im futuristischen Gebäude der Bibliothek der ETH Lausanne zu drehen; das transparente Gebäude macht ein Verstecken unmöglich.
