Roman Weishaupt aus dem bündnerischen Degen hat ein Ziel vor Augen: In drei Monaten will er auf dem berühmten Jakobsweg bis nach Santiago de Compostela pilgern. 2300 strapaziöse
Kilometer liegen vor ihm. Die Lust an der Herausforderung und die Hoffnung, sich selbst besser kennen zu lernen, sind sein Antrieb.
Bruno Moll hat Roman auf den wichtigsten Etappen seiner Reise begleitet. Er hat Bilder geschaffen, die zum Schwelgen und zum Verweilen einladen. Dem Rhythmus des Wanderers folgend, erzählt der Film von Momenten der Euphorie und der Genugtuung und von ebenso bereichernden wie erheiternden Kontakten mit anderen Pilgern. Aber auch davon, welche Anstrengungen eine solche Reise mit sich bringt. Was es heisst, im französischen Niemandsland eine Herberge zu suchen
oder in den Pyrenäen gegen den Wind anzukämpfen. Die bewegendsten Momente hält Roman selbst mit seiner Kamera fest und gewährt uns in persönlichen Reflexionen in der rätoromanischen Muttersprache intime Einblicke in seine Gefühlswelt.
