Synopsis in German
Mary und Eva sind die besten Freundinnen, obwohl sie verschiedener nicht sein könnten. Eva ist temperamentvoll, lebenslustig und stets wohlgemut. Mary dagegen ist eher still, zurückhaltend und in sich gekehrt. So passt es zu Mary, dass sie sich früh mit einem braven, gutherzigen Mann verlobt, während Eva nur eine lose Affäre hat.
Armand, Marys Verlobter, verliebt sich jedoch in die verführerische Eva und lässt Mary sitzen. Die trägt ihren Verlust mit Würde und zeigt niemandem ihren tiefen Schmerz.
Als Eva die fixe Idee hat, ein Revuestar zu werden, investiert sie ihr ganzes Vermögen, schafft aber den Durchbruch nicht. Armand, der ihr hoffnungslos verfallen ist, tut alles, um ihr wieder Geld zu beschaffen. Er wird sogar in kriminelle Machenschaften verwickelt. Eva kümmert das alles nicht, sie träumt von einem glamourösen Leben. Schließlich hilft Mary Armand aus der Klemme, denn eigentlich liebt sie ihn noch immer. Im Gegensatz zu Eva.
